Airbag Failure Lawyer

Airbag Failure Attorney in Georgia

Many people suffer greater injuries than they should in car accident because of airbag defects and failures. Airbags are intended to provide us with protection in car accidents. However, often times airbags do not provide the protection that the should or could. If you have been hurt in a car accident and you think the airbag did not function properly, speak with an airbag failure lawyer.

What Are the Ways in Which an Airbag May Fail?

Generally, there are 3 ways in which an airbag may fail:

  • the airbag may fail to deploy in an accident in which it should have deployed,
  • the airbag may spontaneously deploy when it should not, or
  • it may be delayed in deployment.

If an airbag does any of these things, the occupants of a vehicle may be seriously injured or killed.

What Happens if You Do Not Speak with An Airbag Failure Lawyer Soon After an Accident?

It is critical that evidence be retained if you believe that an airbag has failed. One of the first tasks that we undertake is notifying possible defendant’s of their duty to retain evidence. It is critical that you speak with an airbag defect lawyer soon after the accident. Failing to do so may result in the loss of critical evidence.

Is Takata the Only Problem with Vehicle Airbags?

No. In April 2019, the U.S. Department of Transportation opened an investigation of faulty air bags. This airbag investigation was caused by faulty air-bag control systems supplied by ZF-TRW. This investigation affects approximately 12.3 million automobiles. The electrical system produced by by ZF-TRW may fail to cause an airbag to deploy in a crash.

The ZF-TRW defect caused a recall of airbags in Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Kia, and Fiat Chrysler vehicles.
