If you or someone that you care about what injured in a St. Patrick’s Day DUI accident, we can help. Unfortunately, in the United States, we have continued to associated many significant celebratory days with alcohol and, frequently, driving automobiles. The combination can be deadly, and while we have made a discernible shift in our views on the acceptability of this behavior, we still have a way to go.
In a recent National Highway Traffic Safety Administration video, the subject of St. Patrick’s Day drunk drivers was addressed:
Certainly, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration did not intend to make light of the severity of the concerns and the injuries that can ensue from drunk driving on St. Patrick’s Day, but it sure tends to come off that way. We need to stop glamorizing or making light of the severity of this problem. The dangers presented by drunk drivers to the rest of the public are issues of tremendous concern, and this is an issue that we need to have serious conversations about. This type of video does not in our opinion emphasize the gravity of the problem.
