Remember When A .15 BAC Wasn’t That High?

All too often Judges will ask why my clients are wasting the Court’s time fighting a BAC well in excess of .08. I can’t help but think that those same Judges have little understanding of where it is that we have come in terms of the legal limit for DUI prosecutions. It wasn’t that long ago that our legal limit in Georgia was well in excess of .10 and .12. In fact, in 1954, the legal limit in Georgia was .15. Below is a copy of the Georgia statute in effect then:
