WHAT WE REALLY NEED TO BE CAREFUL OF WHEN TRICK OR TREATING…
By Ben Sessions on January 23rd, 2018 in Uncategorized
As parents, we are all really concerned about weirdos greeting our kids and giving our kids crazy food. In fact, I am pretty much freaked out about all of the weird stuff that my kids may see on Halloween. My ridiculous anxiety is probably misplaced though, and what I and other parents should be concerned about is a lot more obvious.
In the process of trick or treating, our kids are distracted and their preoccupied with excitement. In the process, they are usually walking in the streets that are still being used by motorists. As a result, the number of fatalities to pedestrians on October 31st generally ranks within the top 3 of most dangerous days for pedestrians.
So, if you – like me – worry a little (or way) too much about Halloween, re-focus your worry on what is probably the more legitimate risk.
Happy Halloween!
