Baldwin County Tractor-Trailer Crash: More Than $100,000 Despite Disputed Liability
Our client’s vehicle struck the rear of a tractor-trailer on a state highway in Baldwin County, so the trucking side argued our client was at fault. Our investigation showed the truck had failed to yield and that its driver did not hold a commercial driver’s license. Our client suffered a fractured kneecap and an abdominal injury and needed months of rehabilitation.
We retained an accident reconstruction expert and sued the driver, the truck’s owner and the commercial insurer. Our client later passed away, and we continued the case for the estate. It settled at mediation for more than $100,000, and we resolved the Medicare lien.
Every case turns on its own facts. Past results do not guarantee a similar outcome in any future matter.
