Our client was charged with DUI Less Safe, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Reckless Driving in Cherokee County State Court. This case originated in the Woodstock Municipal Court. Like so many of our clients, this client wanted to resolve his case prior to a jury trial. In fact, I approached the prosecutor in the Woodstock Municipal Court and the prosecutors in the Cherokee County State Court many times about reducing his DUI charge to reckless driving. Our client was fearful about the impact that a DUI conviction may have upon his employment and his ability to drive in connection with his job. However, after his jury trial, he ended up with a better result than I ever could have negotiated. He was found not guilty of DUI less safe, failure to maintain lane, and reckless driving. He literally walked out of court with no conviction whatsoever.
